Golden sends a variety of automated notifications to Dashboard users. The good news is that you can control which ones you receive, both for yourself and for your whole organization. Let’s walk through how! **Personal Controls** Your personal email preferences only affect the emails *you* receive. 1. In the Dashboard, click your profile in the top right corner of the screen. 2. Select **My Profile**. 3. Under **Email Preferences**, toggle off any notifications you don’t want to receive. 4. Click **Update** to save your changes. You can turn the following notifications on or off: - **Registration Confirmations** (participant sign-ups) - **Registration Cancellations** - **Today’s Guest List** - **Hours Not Logged by Participant** - **Weekly Pending Actions** - **No Active Opportunities** - **Best Practices** - **Release Notes/Newsletter** - **Marketing Emails** ![](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/Screen_Shot_2021-12-23_at_4.31.32_PM-2.png?width=652&height=443&name=Screen_Shot_2021-12-23_at_4.31.32_PM-2.png)**Organization-Level Controls** You can also update notification settings for your entire organization, which affects all Dashboard users. 1. Go to [Settings](https://dashboard.goldenvolunteer.com/settings). 2. Under **Organization Options**, adjust any of the following: - **Receive participant signup notifications** - **Receive participant cancellation notifications** - **Send “Who’s coming...” emails to all Admins (in addition to Opportunity Manager)** - **Send “Who’s coming...” emails the day before in addition to the morning of your Opportunity** 3. Click **Update** to save your changes. ***Only the Owner and users with permission to edit organization settings can change these options.*** ![](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/Screen_Shot_2021-12-23_at_4.33.45_PM-2.png) **Using Roles-Based Permissions?** Here’s how Golden decides who receives sign-up, cancellation, and “Who’s Coming” emails for an Opportunity: - If the Opportunity has an **Opportunity Manager**, they receive these emails. - If there’s no Opportunity Manager, users with the **Contact** role receive them instead. If no one has the Contact role, the Owner receives them. - If **Send “Who’s coming...” emails to all Admins** is turned on in Settings, users with the Contact role receive these emails *in addition to* the Opportunity Manager. To stop someone from receiving organization notifications, remove the **Contact** role from that person in **Settings \> Users**. Keep in mind that if they’re the Opportunity Manager for an Opportunity, they’ll still receive emails for that Opportunity.
