Collecting Demographic and Participant Information
Golden gives you the option to collect demographic information and expanded participant information from volunteers when they register for a volunteer opportunity. Golden collects, compiles, anonymizes, and shares this data with you so you can honor their privacy, better understand their perspectives, and become more inclusive of underrepresented populations.
Note: The ability to collect this information requires a paid plan!
How do I start?
The option to request demographic and additional participant information can be found in the Additional Participant Information section of the opportunity create/edit page. All fields are optional for participants to complete.
Participant Information
You can request additional profile information from participants during sign-up, including:
- Phone Number
- Middle Name
- Date of Birth
- Mailing Address
- LINE Messenger
- Company Affiliation
- Dietary Restrictions
- Need for Transportation
- Language Proficiency
- Pronouns
- Gender
Once participants answer these questions, the information is stored in their profiles. When signed-in participants register for future opportunities, Golden will automatically apply their saved answers—they won't need to re-enter the same information.
Demographics Information
Golden currently collects Race/Ethnicity and Gender as demographic fields. You can select which demographics you'd like to optionally collect from participants during sign-up.
Viewing your data: Demographics statistics can be generated from your Insights Export. If you're interested in gathering other specific data points, please contact support@goldenvolunteer.com.
