Custom Reservations: Working with Corporate Partners
Nonprofits and corporations are able to work together on the Golden platform in a variety of ways. One particularly powerful way is for nonprofits to offer dedicated capacity in their opportunities to trusted corporate partners. Golden represents this dedicated capacity with custom reservations, which can be locked behind a required donation when needed by the nonprofit.
Nonprofits: Making Custom Reservations
The process of creating custom reservations is super quick. While viewing an opportunity in the Golden dashboard, find the relevant action in the toolbar and you will be presented with a modal to create your custom reservation.
Here are some tips and explanations for these fields:
- Entity Name: Whatever name you specify here will become a corporate partner account in your network. Organizations without an aggregator license have no further access to manage these accounts. Reach out to support if you're interested in an aggregator license for increased visibility and control over these partners. Important: You can create multiple custom reservations for a single opportunity timeslot. Be aware that you should never have two matching entity names under the same timeslot.
- Contact Email: We will email this individual (perhaps a CSR representative) with a special link allowing them to claim that organization account, see all upcoming and past custom reservations assigned to their organization, and unlock any custom reservations which require payment.
- Number of Spots Reserved: This much capacity will be reserved in your timeslot immediately upon creating the custom reservation. A share link will be available (once unlocked, if a donation is required) for participants to claim these reserved spots.
- Donation: If provided (which is only possible if your nonprofit is set up to accept disbursements), no participants will be able to claim any spots from this reservation until the required payment is made. Note that Golden will charge the payer a processing fee in addition to the amount you specify, and payments are non-refundable.
Corporations: Managing Your Reservations
When a participating nonprofit has created a custom reservation designated for your company, check your email. We will have sent out a relevant communication to you with a special link that will allow you to access your company's dashboard. From here, navigate to Opportunities and then Custom Reservations in the left navigation.
From here, you will be able to unlock any custom reservations that require a donation in order to participate, see all of your upcoming custom reservations in one place, and obtain share links for your employees in order to claim these spots that have been reserved for you.
