Getting Started on Golden for Companies
We're excited to help you kickstart your corporate volunteering program! Here's your quick-start guide to getting your team up and running on Golden.
Step 1: Create Your Company Account
When you're setting up your account, make sure to select Company as your organization type. This unlocks all the corporate volunteering features designed specifically for businesses like yours.
Step 2: Add Your Team Organizers
Invite other team members who will help you manage and coordinate your company's volunteering initiatives. These organizers will have the tools they need to oversee engagement, create opportunities, and track your team's impact.
Step 3: Invite Your Employees
Now it's time to bring your colleagues on board! We recommend using the Invite by Email feature to send personalized invitations. When your employees accept your invitation, they'll automatically become Affiliates, which links their volunteer profile directly to your company account.
Pro tip: Employees can also join independently at www.portal.goldenvolunteer.com. If they choose this route, just remind them to affiliate with your company during signup!
Step 4: Recommend Opportunities
Once your team is on Golden, they can start discovering volunteer opportunities right away. Want to highlight specific opportunities? Use the Recommend feature to notify your Affiliates and tag those opportunities in their feed, making them easy to find.
Step 5: Create Your Own Opportunities
Golden makes it simple to create custom volunteer opportunities tailored to your company's goals. Private Opportunities are perfect for team-building events and corporate outings! Planning something bigger? Check out our guide on organizing large-scale events.
