Creating and Managing Volunteer Groups

Adding volunteers to groups is a great way to organize your participants into meaningful categories.

Custom Groups

You can create custom groups to organize volunteers for specific purposes. For example, you might create a group for trained volunteers with special credentials or skills, then make private opportunities that only those group members can access.

Group Invitations via CSV Upload

If you have a list of volunteers you'd like to invite to a group, you can easily upload a CSV file with their information. This is perfect for situations like inviting 100 volunteers to a private Holiday Drive opportunity—simply upload the CSV, and they'll receive invitations to join the designated group.

Private Opportunities

Once you've created a group, you can set up private opportunities that are only visible to and accessible by members of that group. This ensures that only qualified or invited volunteers can register for specialized opportunities.
