How the Integration Works

After successfully setting up the integration, Golden automatically syncs volunteer data to Altru whenever volunteers register for or complete opportunities. The system creates or updates constituent records, volunteer profiles, job occurrences, and timesheets to maintain accurate records of volunteer engagement.

What is Synced Between Golden and Altru?

Golden syncs the following information with Blackbaud Altru:

Volunteer/Constituent Information:

  • First name, middle name, and last name
  • Email address (with configurable type)
  • Phone number (with configurable type)
  • Mailing address (with configurable type)
  • Emergency contact name and phone number
  • Golden Volunteer ID (as an alternate lookup identifier)

Opportunity & Registration Information:

  • Volunteer job records (opportunities)
  • Job occurrences (time slots)
  • Volunteer assignments (registrations)
  • Timesheets with hours (for completed shifts)
  • Registration status updates (registered, completed, cancelled)

Golden creates and updates these records in real-time as volunteers interact with your opportunities, ensuring your Altru database always reflects the latest volunteer activity.
