This integration gives enterprise nonprofits a complete view of every supporter by syncing volunteer activity directly into constituent records. How the Integration Works

Golden syncs volunteer data to Blackbaud CRM through automated background jobs that trigger when volunteer registrations are created, updated, or completed. The integration creates or updates constituent records in CRM and links volunteer activity through assignments and timesheets.

What is Synced Between Golden and Blackbaud CRM?

Golden syncs the following information to Blackbaud CRM:

  • Volunteer/Constituent Information: First name, middle name, last name, gender, email address, phone number, and mailing address
  • Emergency Contacts: Emergency contact name and phone number
  • Volunteer Assignments: Registration status and assignment to opportunities
  • Timesheets: Completed volunteer hours for opportunity occurrences
  • Opportunity Data: Opportunity name, description, location, and time slot information including start and end times

The integration uses configurable data types that you define (email type, phone type, and address type) to ensure data is categorized correctly in your CRM system.

How Data Mapping Works

The integration uses a combination of email address and name (optional) to match existing constituents in your CRM before creating new records. Golden adds a "Golden Volunteer Id" as an alternate lookup ID to each constituent record for future matching. If a constituent already exists in CRM, Golden will update their contact information based on your configuration settings.

You can control whether Golden overwrites existing name fields in CRM when updating constituent records through the integration settings.
