We’re sorry to see you go! If you’d like to delete your participant account, you can do so from the Golden Portal or the Golden mobile app. **On the Golden Portal:** 1. Sign in to the [Golden Portal](https://gcc.goldenvolunteer.com/account/login?redirect=/), or to your organization’s Branded Portal if that’s where you created your account. 2. Click your name in the top right corner, then select **Account**. If you’re using a phone or tablet browser, open the menu and tap **Account**. 3. Select **Settings** from the menu on the left. 4. Scroll down and click **Delete Account**. 5. When the confirmation window appears, click **Delete Account** again to confirm. Once your account is deleted, you’ll be signed out and returned to the home page. **On the Golden mobile app:** 1. Open the Golden app and make sure you’re signed in. 2. Tap the **Account** tab. 3. Under **Settings**, tap **Edit Profile**. 4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap **Delete Account**. 5. When the confirmation window appears, tap **Delete Account** again to confirm. Once your account is deleted, you’ll be returned to the **Discover** screen. **What happens when you delete your account:** - Deleting your account is permanent. You’ll lose access to your account history, including your logged hours and volunteer certificate. - Your personal information is removed from Golden, including your name, email address, phone number, emergency contact, and saved payment method. - Any upcoming Opportunities you’re registered for will be cancelled. - Organizations you’ve volunteered with will still see your past hours in their totals, but those hours will appear under “Deleted User” instead of your name. **Do you also use the Golden Dashboard?** Your participant account and your Dashboard access share the same sign-in, so deleting your account also removes your access to the Dashboard. You’ll be removed as an admin and as the manager of any Opportunities you oversee. If you manage Opportunities for an organization, please talk with your organization before deleting your account. Organizations themselves can’t be deleted from the Portal. If you’d like to stop receiving emails and notifications related to an organization, contact us, and we’ll be happy to help. Questions?
