Waiver Configuration for Opportunities
When creating an opportunity on Golden, you can require volunteers to complete a waiver before they sign up. Waivers are configured during the opportunity creation process in the Extras step.
Adding Waivers to Your Opportunity
Waivers are added in the Extras step of the opportunity creation wizard. In this step, you'll find the option to upload waiver documents. You can upload multiple PDF files (10MB max file size per file). PDF format only.
Note: Golden records each time a participant accepts the waiver, so you don't need to track this separately.
Viewing Waiver Status
Once volunteers begin signing up for your opportunity, you can check their waiver status from the opportunity detail page:
- Navigate to the "My Opportunities" tab
- Click on the opportunity title to view its details
- If a waiver is required for the opportunity, you'll see a column showing whether each volunteer has completed the waiver
Manual Registration and Waivers
When you manually register volunteers through the Dashboard (rather than having them self-register), Golden handles waivers differently:
- Golden sends the volunteer a confirmation email with a link to accept the waiver
- The waiver status appears in the Dashboard (look for "Not Yet" status indicators)
- You can hover over any "Not Yet" status to get a "Copy Link" option to share the waiver link
- The check-in Kiosk will prompt volunteers to sign the waiver if they haven't already
This ensures all volunteers complete required waivers, regardless of how they registered.
