At Golden, we're always listening to your feedback and continuously improving our platform to make volunteer management smarter, easier, and more impactful. A few updates are:
Parental Consent Update
Organizers can now see Parental Consent information directly in the Registrations & Attendance export CSV files for any opportunity—available from both the Opportunity Management and Insights pages.
What's new:
- New columns identify whether a participant is under 13 or under 18 years old
- Includes the guardian's name and email address for participants
- This update provides greater clarity and accountability for youth participation, making it easier to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with consent requirements
Hyperlinks Enabled in Custom Questions Templates
No more copying and pasting URLs! All URLs entered in Custom Question templates are now automatically displayed as clickable hyperlinks in bright orange.
Participants can directly click on the hyperlink to open the linked site—saving time and improving the registration process.
This simple but powerful update makes it easier to share additional resources, waivers, or instructions during the sign-up process.
Legal Names on Background Checks
The Legal Name provided during a Background Check is now displayed in each participant's card within their profile.

We've also made several smaller updates and fixes this month to keep your Golden experience running smoothly:
- Background Check Visibility: Fixed an issue where certain background check text and buttons weren't always appearing in the portal—everything should now display consistently.
- Improved Check Status Tracking: The dashboard now clearly distinguishes between volunteers who haven't started their background check and those whose results are still pending.
- Volunteer Notes for All Completions: Volunteers can now add notes to any type of opportunity completion, not just ongoing ones—making it easier to capture feedback and reflections.
You can rate a volunteer when confirming their attendance in the opportunity detail page, even after the opportunity has passed by using the Edit Attendance button in an opportunity page. These ratings are only visible to Organizers to be used internally.
