Sharing Your Opportunities

Sharing your opportunities is key for maximizing volunteer sign-ups. We make it easy to get the word out via social media, email, text, and just about anywhere else!

Sharing Multiple Opportunities with Volunteers

If you have multiple opportunities to share with volunteers, go to Settings → Web Tools and navigate to the Share Links tab. Here you'll find links to share all upcoming opportunities created BY you. This will display your soonest upcoming time slots first. We highly recommend this tool if you host big events!

All "Open" Opportunities Created BY Your Organization

Logged-in participants will see relevant private opportunities when accessing this link.

"Private" Opportunities Created FOR Your Organization

These opportunities are all set to target your organization and can be hosted by any organization using Golden. Note: Participants must log in to see "Private-Closed" opportunities.

Sharing Tagged Opportunities

If you've created suggested tags for your organization, you can also share opportunities by tag. These links display all opportunities which feature specific tags. Participants must log in to see private opportunities.

Sharing Private Opportunities

When you share a private opportunity, the link provides access based on the opportunity's privacy settings:

  • Private-Open opportunities: Anyone with the link can access the opportunity
  • Private-Closed opportunities: The opportunity must also belong to a group that the participant is a member of

Note: Some companies with advanced security may prevent instant re-routing to the shortened URLs used in our share links. If you are experiencing firewall errors like this, please talk to your IT department about white-listing.
