When opportunities reach their volunteer capacity, they can still be accessed through timeslot-specific Share links that you distribute via email, social media, text, or other channels.
Volunteers accessing full opportunities through these links will see a "Join the Waitlist" option on the Opportunity Detail page.
How Waitlists Work:
Volunteers who join the waitlist receive an email confirmation indicating their position on the waitlist. They will appear in your Dashboard with a notation showing they are on the waitlist.
When spots become available (either because a volunteer cancels their registration or you increase the opportunity's capacity), volunteers are automatically moved off the waitlist in the order they originally signed up.
Volunteers promoted from the waitlist receive a confirmation email notifying them that a spot has opened and they are now registered.
Important Note: Volunteers can only access the waitlist through timeslot-specific Share links. The waitlist option is not available through general opportunity browsing or search.
