Collecting Payments and Donations in Golden
Before getting started with collecting payments, you'll need to make sure you have a Stripe account set up and connected to your Golden organization. Contact your Customer Success Manager to get started with Stripe integration.
Golden offers multiple ways to collect payments from participants:
Custom Reservations with Payment
Custom Reservations allow you to collect payments for specialized volunteer opportunities. These payments are processed through Stripe and managed through your organization's disbursement account.
To set up payment collection for Custom Reservations, work with your Customer Success Manager to configure the payment settings for your opportunity.
Fundraiser Opportunities
If your organization has access to the Fundraiser feature, you can create dedicated Fundraiser Opportunities to collect donations from participants. This feature is designed specifically for fundraising campaigns and donation collection.
Fundraiser Opportunities can be promoted through automated email communications, with donation links included in your volunteer outreach messages.
Viewing and Managing Payments
Once Stripe is connected, you can view and manage your payments in the Donations section of your Golden dashboard. Navigate to Settings > Donations to:
- View your account balance and pending balance
- See recent donation transactions
- Access your full Stripe dashboard for detailed payment information
- Configure disbursement settings
