November 2025 Release Notes

We’re excited to share several enhancements we shipped this month—each one inspired directly by your feedback. Thank you for helping us continue to improve the Golden experience for your teams and volunteers.

Let’s dive into what’s new!

Active Participants on the Insight Dashboard

Previously, on the Insights dashboard, you only had access to Total Participants, which counted all individuals who signed up or were added to an opportunity—regardless of completion.

Now you’ll see a new Active Participants tile on the Insights dashboard. This displays the number of unique volunteers who have completed at least one opportunity with your organization within the selected timeframe.

With this addition, you can now distinguish between who shows interest and who actively completes service, giving you a clearer picture of engagement and impact.

Expanded Notes for Completed Local Opportunities

We’ve added a Notes feature for volunteers to leave feedback on any completed Local Opportunity! Volunteers can now add notes directly through the post-completion email received by your organization or by returning to the completed opportunity page.

This update gives you richer, more consistent feedback across all types of in-person opportunities—helping you capture reflections, insights, and qualitative impact from your volunteers.

And the Rest!

We’ve also made several smaller updates and fixes this month to keep your Golden experience running smoothly:

  • Profile Field Controls: We introduced a new option that locks key profile fields during opportunity registration. When enabled, First Name, Last Name, and Birthday automatically populate from the user’s profile and cannot be edited in the sign-up form.

     
  • Custom Questions Fix: When exporting attendance reports, the custom question column was left empty. This bug has been squashed and now will show in attendance exports.

     
  • Phone Number Registration Bug: Resolved a bug preventing logged-in users with an existing phone number from registering for opportunities that required one.
