Participant Certificates

Certificates can be downloaded directly from the Portal websites as a PDF if the Organization has the option enabled.

The certificates download as PDFs and can include your impact details through a particular window of time (depending on the filter you select), or your lifetime performance.

What details are included?

The certificate will include:

  • Total completions
  • Hours of volunteer work

Additionally, the Organization you participated with may choose to highlight a custom impact metric (sometimes called "footprints").

How do I find/download my certificate?

  1. Log into your Portal website
  2. Click on your profile menu by selecting the icon with your first name and last initial in the top right corner of the page
  3. Click on Account
  4. Look for Certificates & History at the bottom of your profile summary (the box at the top left part of the page)
  5. When you click the Certificates & History link, you'll be taken to a preview page where you can:
    • Select a date range from the dropdown (All Dates, Last Week, Last Month, Last 6 Months, or Last Year)
    • View a preview of your certificate
    • Download the PDF using the button at the bottom right corner of the page

I followed the steps. Why don't I see the certificates option?

Not all Organizations have the certificate option enabled on their website. Some Organizations using the Golden software have their own recognition and hours verification methods.

FAQ

1. I don't see some of my participation hours, info, etc. What is going on?

Please see this article for information about where your missing hours might be!

2. I don't see a metric that I was expecting. Why not?

Custom metrics (sometimes called "footprints") are any impact metrics beyond hours, total completions, or the number of Karats accumulated. For a custom metric to appear on your certificate, the Organization using Golden must have their own website and must have selected which impact metric they want displayed on certificates.

3. I need court-ordered volunteer hours verified. Can I use this?

Golden cannot provide legal advice or specific guidance on this matter. Please consult the courts in all cases. If you have been provided a document and need verification, please reach out to the Organization you participated with directly.
