Resending the Parental Consent Email

If you registered for an opportunity that requires parental consent and the guardian didn't receive the consent email, you can easily resend it directly from your volunteer portal.

How to Resend Consent

When you view an opportunity registration that's pending parental consent, you'll see a message indicating approval is needed from your parent or guardian. Here's how to resend the consent email:

  1. Locate the Resend Option: On your registration confirmation page, you'll see a message stating "You need approval from your parent/guardian" along with their name and email address.
  2. Click "Resend Consent": Below this message, click the "Resend Consent" button to open the resend form.
  3. Update Guardian Information (if needed): In the form that appears, you can:
    • Confirm or update your parent/guardian's name
    • Confirm or update your parent/guardian's email address
  4. Send the Email: Click the "Resend Consent" button in the form to send the parental consent email.

After Resending

The parental consent email will be sent to the email address you provided. Your parent or guardian should receive an email with a link to provide their consent for your registration.

Tips for Success

  • Check spam folders: Remind your parent or guardian to check their spam or junk mail folders if they don't see the email in their inbox.
  • Verify email address: Make sure you're using the correct email address for your parent or guardian.
  • Update if needed: If the original email address was incorrect, you can update it when resending the consent email.

If you continue to experience issues receiving the parental consent email after trying these steps, please reach out to your organization's volunteer coordinator or contact support at support@goldenvolunteer.com for assistance.
