Team Signup for Organizers
Team Signup allows you to manage group signups while making it easier than ever for volunteers to bring guests. This feature can also be used for families who wish to sign up together.
This update allows organizers to see who is part of a group signup and identify the Team Lead. This makes tracking groups and guests simpler than ever! This guide will teach you how to create opportunities that allow guests and Teams.
Creating an Opportunity for Guest/Team Signups
As an Organizer, you can create opportunities that allow participants to register guests and themselves in advance. You can choose to:
- Collect guest information upfront (the Team Leads will input the details on behalf of the guests)
- Optionally collect guest information at the time of signup
- This is a great way to "reserve" spots for participants!
- Guests whose information hasn't been filled out yet will have a placeholder name on your Opportunity Management page.
- This is a great way to "reserve" spots for participants!
You can find these settings in the "Extras" step (step 5) of the opportunity creation process.
Teams on the Dashboard
Going forward, Team Leads will be indicated on the Dashboard with an icon on the top right of their profile photo/initials on Opportunity pages. Team Leads will show the number of guests they're bringing, while guests will display a group icon. See the images below for examples.
Volunteer-created Teams can be viewed on the Groups sub-tab of the Participants page on the Dashboard, located at the bottom in the "Participant-Led Teams" section. Clicking the Team name allows you to see the Team information. From this view, you can message participants and export their information (note: exports require paid plans).

Teams on the Check-in Kiosk
The check-in kiosk will also indicate who the Team Leads are, making checking in Teams easier than ever before. Team Leads will have indicators showing how many guests they registered underneath their names.
Guests who were registered will have indicators showing who the Team Lead of their group is and how many guests the Team Lead has. Hovering on or clicking "Guest (X)" under a Team Lead name will tell you the names of the guests registered with them, making it easy to confirm all guests are present upon arrival.
If a placeholder was created, you'll see a name with the main registrant's name and a number. See below for examples.
