What is the minimum age to use Golden?

In compliance with the FTC’s Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (“COPPA”), Volunteers must be 13 years old in order to create a Golden profile. Parents with children under 13 may want to volunteer, and can bring minors to Golden Opportunities where the Role and Vibe are appropriate, and agree to any Release required by the hosting Organization.

We especially encourage high school students, who are just beginning to discover their passions, to get involved. Our founder, Sam, actually came up with Golden when he was in high school. He and many of his friends tried volunteering for the first time, but they encountered difficulty getting involved at every step along the way.

We work to remove every point of friction that a first-time volunteer would encounter. Turns out, even long-time volunteers appreciate Golden’s streamlined approach!
