When you sign up for a Golden Opportunity, we’ll keep you in the loop every step of the way! Here’s a look at the automated notifications you can expect. **Signing Up** - **Sign Up Confirmation:** You’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as you register, along with any additional details from the organizer. - **Added by an Organizer:** If an organizer registers you for an Opportunity, you’ll receive an email letting you know. - **Added as a Guest:** If someone registers you as their guest, you’ll receive an email with your registration details. **Waitlists** - **Waitlisted Notification:** If the Time Slot you chose is full, you’ll be added to the waitlist, and we’ll let you know. - **Waitlist Promotion:** If a spot opens up and you’re moved off the waitlist, you’ll receive a confirmation email letting you know you’re registered. **Changes and Cancellations** - **Opportunity Time Change:** If the organizer changes the time of your Time Slot, you’ll be notified automatically. - **Opportunity Location Change:** If the organizer changes the location of the Opportunity, you’ll be notified automatically. If the organizer has chosen to hide the exact location, this notification isn’t sent. - **Opportunity Cancellation:** If the organizer cancels the Time Slot you’re registered for, you’ll be notified automatically. Using the Golden mobile app? You’ll also receive time changes, location changes, and cancellations as push notifications. **Reminders** - **Day-Before Reminder:** The day before your Opportunity, you’ll receive a reminder email at about 11 a.m. in the Opportunity’s local time zone. This reminder is sent only for Time Slots with a set start and end time. - **Additional Reminders:** Some organizations set up extra reminders, such as one a few days before your Opportunity. If yours has, you’ll receive those as well. - **Reminder to Log Hours:** For ongoing Virtual Opportunities, the organizer can choose to send reminders on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. If you haven’t logged hours for that period, you’ll receive a reminder with a link to log them. **After Your Opportunity** - **Confirm Your Attendance:** If your attendance still hasn’t been recorded two days after your Time Slot ends, either by the organizer or through check-in, you’ll receive one email asking you to confirm whether you attended. **Background Checks and Credentials** - **Background Check Updates:** If an Opportunity requires a background check, you’ll receive updates on its status, including whether it has cleared. - **Background Check Expiration:** You’ll receive a reminder about 10 days before your background check or motor vehicle check expires and another notification once it has expired, with a link to start a new one. - **Credential Notifications:** If an organization uses credentials, you’ll receive emails when a submission needs more information or is declined, and when a credential expires and needs to be renewed.
