[Managing Volunteers](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/knowledge_base/organizer-resources?hsLang=en#managing-volunteers) October 16, 2026 # Why can't I see the address of the Opportunity? When an Organizer posts an Opportunity, for safety reasons, we hide the exact address from Users until after they have completed the sign up. You have to complete any Background Checks, Parental Consent, Waivers, and Emergency Contact before you will be allowed to view the exact address.  Some organizers also choose to hide an Opportunity's exact location. In that case you'll see a general description of the location instead of the full address, and the organizer will share details directly. We give participants a rough location in the bubble to ensure they can get there: ![](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/Screen_Shot_2019-07-12_at_2.09.02_PM-2.png) Once a participant completes the the screening and signs up, they can view the exact location: ![](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/Screen_Shot_2019-07-12_at_2.09.33_PM-2.png) Questions?
