As you know, [participants automatically receive a variety of important notifications](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/what-notifications-do-volunteers-receive-automatically?hsLang=en) when they register for your Opportunities. But organizers receive some helpful notifications too! Let’s walk through them. **Who receives these notifications?** Most Opportunity notifications go to the **Opportunity Manager**. If an Opportunity doesn’t have a manager, they go to your organization’s admins instead. You can also choose to send “Who’s Coming” emails to all admins in addition to the Opportunity Manager (see **Managing your notifications** below). **Before Your Opportunity** - **We’ve Approved Your Opportunity:** When you submit a Public Opportunity on Golden, our editorial team runs a quick review to make sure there are no typos, the photos look good, and so on. You’ll receive an email once it’s approved. - **Participant Sign-Up:** Sent when a participant signs up for your Opportunity. You won’t receive this email for participants you add yourself. - **Participant Cancellation:** Sent when a participant cancels their spot in your Opportunity. - **No Sign-Ups Yet:** If a Time Slot starts within the next 8 hours and no one has signed up, we’ll send you a heads-up so you can take action. - **New Donation:** For fundraisers, sent when a participant makes a donation. **The Day of Your Opportunity** - **Who’s Coming:** At 5 a.m. on the day of your Opportunity (in the Opportunity’s time zone), we’ll send you an attendance sheet listing who’s signed up and expected to attend. If your Time Slot starts before 6 a.m., you’ll receive it 1 hour before the start time instead. This email includes: - Every registered participant - Contact info - Emergency contact info - Team name and Champion (if relevant!) - A link to the [Check-in Kiosk](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/how-do-i-launch-the-check-in-kiosk-and-how-does-it-work?hsLang=en) This email is sent for Time Slots with a set start and end time, as long as at least one participant is registered. You can also choose to receive an additional “Who’s Coming” email the day before (see **Managing your notifications** below). **After Your Opportunity** - **Confirm Your Attendees:** If participants weren’t checked in (automatically through the mobile app or using the [Check-in Kiosk](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/how-do-i-launch-the-check-in-kiosk-and-how-does-it-work?hsLang=en)), we’ll remind you to confirm whether they attended your Opportunity. - **Missing Hours:** If you created a Flexible Opportunity and set a reminder for participants to [log their hours](https://support.goldenvolunteer.com/how-do-i-create-an-opportunity-for-volunteers-to-log-their-own-hours?hsLang=en), we’ll email you a list of participants who didn’t log hours for that period. **Credentials and Background Checks** If your organization uses credentials or background checks, you’ll also receive notifications when: - A participant’s credential submission needs your review - A participant completes a credential or credential package - A participant’s credential is expiring in 7 days, or has expired - A participant’s background check or motor vehicle check is expiring soon, or has expired **Managing your notifications** You can turn several of these on or off in your Dashboard [Settings](https://dashboard.goldenvolunteer.com/settings), under **Organization Options**: -
